The tradition of organizing career panel for students started in 2011, when executives of PASS saw students’ need for advice on their professional development. These panels are informal sessions in which successful speakers from all different disciplines share stories about their careers. The panel is followed by a Q&A session and a brief coffee reception in which students would have the opportunity to interact with the speakers personally. During 2010-2011 school year PASS organized two career panels, inviting distinguished panelists including Senator Vivienne Poy, Dr. Chu distinguished alumnus Kartick Kumar and Professor Alana Boland at the University of Toronto.
In the school year of 2011-2012, PASS continues to organize career panels. On November 24th, 2011, PASS invited three successful practitioners: Justin Poy, Clara Ho and Sonia Sakamoto to speak to students at the Munk School of Global Affairs.
On February 16th, 2012, PASS will host another career panel at 3-5 pm, Room 108N, Munk Scool of Global Affairs, featuring Professor Jing Jing Chang who teaches Chinese history and cinema at Wilfred Laurier University and other honourable panelists. Stay in tuned for updates!
